Stichting Struan Foundation

Apply for funding

The application process for 2023 is now closed:
The application process for 2024 will be open from september 1, 2023

In line with the entrepreneurial background of its founders, we fund the accelerated growth of initiatives that are in line with our mission and priorities and that can demonstrate measurable and sustainable impact, are innovative and scalable.  Ideally, the projects we support can operate, over time, without gifts and donations, i.e projects that have the potential to be financially self-supporting. Funding will usually be in the form of a grant or a loan, however the Foundation will also consider making an equity investment in certain cases and under certain conditions.

The Foundation is looking to create long term partnerships with the projects and organisations it works with, principally through providing financial support. Where appropriate, we also offer the professional expertise and experience of the Foundation’s Board and Project Board members in support of the projects the Foundation funds.
Projects in The Netherlands as well as international projects are within the scope of the Foundation provided the legal entity requesting the funding is registered in The Netherlands. If you are requesting a donation, we expect you to have ANBI status. As a provider of private funding we are able and willing to consider requests for both capital and operational expenditure. The Foundation does, in principle, not provide funding to individuals.

The application process consists of 2 stages. The first stage is to submit your application by completing the form below. The Project Board will make an initial selection. Projects chosen for stage 2 will be contacted by the Foundation by email. A more detailed project description and funding proposal will be required, followed by an interview where needed. The Foundation's Board will make a final selection from the stage 2 proposals.

Applications for funding in 2023 can be submitted until December 23rd 2022. Those projects progressing to the 2nd stage will be informed in January. We aim to complete the process and inform successful applicants by March 1st 2023.

Please give details on how your project adds value and what difference the requested funding will enable (2000 character limit)
